British Nonsense Poetry with Peter Elsworth

Join the Friends of the Library on Saturday, September 18, for a reading of British nonsense poetry by Friends president and Brit-American Peter Elsworth.

Peter will provide a short lecture of the tradition of British nonsense poetry, includingLewis Carroll, Edward Lear, and Hilare Belloc, in the context of British children'sliterature, from Alice in Wonderland all to way to Harry Potter by way of such classics as The Jungle Book, Winnie the Pooh and The Lord of the Rings. 

Due to concerns over Covid, numbers will be limited to 25 and masks will be required.Please register online or in-person at the library for this fun event!
