Pumpkin Pickup: Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24
Pumpkin Drop Off: Monday, October 26
Halloween is going to look pretty different this year. But we still want kids (...and tweens...and adults) to have fun. So, we offer you our Pumpkin Decorating Contest! A huge THANK YOU to Hodgkiss Farm and Jamestown Community Farm for their donation of pumpkins that made this program possible!
We will have 30 pumpkins available for pickup at the library on Friday, October 23. Pumpkins will be signed out to individuals or families. We ask that you take the pumpkin home and decorate it with anything that suits your fancy (just don't carve the pumpkin, please) and bring it back to the library on Monday, October 26. The pumpkins will then be displayed in the library for that week. Ballots will be available for voting on Best in Age and Best in Show. Winners will be announced on Friday, October 30 in the morning. And then all participants may pick up their pumpkins Friday afternoon or on Halloween (Saturday, October 31) for use at their homes on the big day! Winner prizes are sure to be silly (and sweet)!
If we run out of pumpkins, we still encourage you to bring a decorated pumpkin to the library by Monday, October 26 and we will enter it in the contest.
