The Jamestown Tick Task Force is pleased to present Dr. Thomas Mather, nationally known tick expert and authority on Lyme Disease. Dr. Mather is a professor of Public Health Entomology at the University of Rhode Island and the Director of the Tick Encounter Resource Center. He will discuss the spread of ticks in Rhode Island and the threat of the tick-borne disease in Jamestown.

Dr. Mather has published numerous research papers on tick ecology, tick control strategies, tick bite protection, and tick borne disease prevention. TickEncounter.org has received local, national and international recognition for their quick, concise "Just in time" information on tick recognition, tick testing and tick bite prevention in humans and pets. You won’t want to miss this important and informative program. The program is free and open to all.
