Tracie Potochnik & Steve Allain

Well-established as solo performers in their home state of Rhode Island, Tracie Potochnik and Steve Allain joined forces in 2014 to form Cardboard Ox. The duo is

known for sweet and soulful harmonies, thoughtful musicianship, and delicately crafted lyrical storytelling.

Cardboard Ox has performed at venues throughout New England including the main stage at The Providence Folk Festival and the legendary Club Passim, and has

opened for acts including Cheryl Wheeler and Marc Douglas Berardo. The duo has also been nominated for Limelight and Motif Magazine awards.

Cardboard Ox’s eponymous debut EP, a collection of six original songs, was released in November 2015. Recorded at Rhode Island’s Lion Recording Studio with engineer Ross Lenzing, the album features simple arrangements and production that capture the duo’s live sound, and place focus firmly on the songs themselves.
