Grades 3-4 Book Club

Please note the change in date and time for November's Book Club!

The next meeting of the Grades 3-4 Book Club will be held on Wednesday, November 15 at 4:00 p.m. We will be discussing The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo.

"Once, in a house on Egypt Street, there lived a china rabbit named Edward Tulane. The rabbit was very pleased with himself, and for good reason: he was owned by a girl named Abilene, who adored him completely. And then, one day, he was lost. . . .
Kate DiCamillo takes us on an extraordinary journey, from the depths of the ocean to the net of a fisherman, from the bedside of an ailing child to the bustling streets of Memphis. Along the way, we are shown a miracle – that even a heart of the most breakable kind can learn to love, to lose, and to love again."- amazon.com

We discuss the book for roughly 45 minutes, while Miss Lisa blogs our conversation, and spend the last 15 minutes voting on a book to read for the next book club.

Come join us for an afternoon of interesting book talk and snacks! Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk. Please be sure to register so that Miss Lisa knows how many snacks to buy!
